A man in his 50s and a man in his 30s were killed, one more critically wounded, and 13 lightly to moderately wounded in a mass altercation in the Bedouin town of Kuseife in the Negev.

This was a fight between families in the town. The police reported after a preliminary investigation that members of one of the families ran over members of the other family with a car. Gunshots were also heard coming from the area of the altercation.

A top MDA medic who treated the wounded recounted: "We got a report of multiple people injured in a car accident and left for the area in force. On the highway adjacent to the entrance to the town we met up with vehicles already bringing the wounded towards us.

"We immediately transferred the wounded - who were suffering from injuries mainly to the head and legs - to ambulances and evacuated them to the hospital while continuing to administer treatment. Some are moderately wounded and some seriously."

One of the men was declared dead upon arrival at the Soroka hospital, while the other died of his wounds later in the day.
