The prosecutors involved in the case against Elor Azariya have been granted increased security, following increased incitement and threats to their lives, Channel 2 reports.

In addition, four soldiers who were summoned to testify say that they participated in the trial on the understanding that they would also receive protection, which indeed occurred.

According to a telephoned statement by senior officials in the Military Advocate General, the protected individuals received applications for their phone that would call for help with the push of a button.

The prosecutors were also briefed by security officials about what they should watch out for and in what situations they should be particularly vigilant.

Azariya will be released for his first furlough home this weekend. He will then return to his base and from there to the court.

The prosecution will finish its arguments over the next two weeks, after which the defense will have its turn.
