The family of murdered Israeli Ofir Gross spoke to the media on Monday, after Hungarian police announced he had been murdered.

Ofir's sister Gal expressed frustration over the case.

"We are waiting for updates from the police, we haven't learned anything new," Gal stated to Channel 2. "The family has visited Hungary, but the body was not flown to Israel and we don't know when it will arrive. We also don't know when he was killed."

"This is the worst thing that can happen to parents, they're falling apart," she continued. "I don't know how to cope with it."

"We used to be four siblings, now we're three."

Gal added that her last conversation with Ofir was a "normal conversation" about finding an apartment.

She also gave her gratitude and appreciation to the many Israelis who enlisted to help find her brother after he disappeared, to "everyone who supported, helped, shared, gave tips - many thanks."

On Sunday, authorities announced they had found Gross's body, after a frantic, week-long search for the missing Jerusalemite.

A biomedical student in Germany, he had been "couchsurfing" - staying at residential homes for free or for a relatively small fee - when his family suddenly lost contact with him.

Then, Sunday night, Hungarian police announced they arrested two suspects in the case - a 21 year-old and a 19 year-old.
