Passover will be marked by pleasant and springlike weather, forecasters said Friday - just in time for the 'Spring Holiday' (Chag Haaviv).

On Friday and Shabbat, temperatures will lower slightly for pleasant weather nationwide.

"You'll be able to have the seder outside, and most of the country will be in short sleeves even at night," Channel 10's Tel Shamai said Friday. Shamai added that while the weather is perfect for hiking, it is not quite beach weather yet, as the hottest ocean water still only reaches 21°C (69.8°F) in the heat of the day.

Temperatures will range from 17°C (62.6°F) - 26°C (78.8°F) in Tel Aviv; 18°C (64.4°F) - 28°C (82.4°F) in Jerusalem; 19°C (66.2°F) - 28°C (82.4°F) in Haifa; 16°C (60.8°F) - 27°C (80.6°F) in Tzfat (Safed); 17°C (62.6°F) - 31°C (87.8°F) in Katzrin; 19°C (66.2°F) - 33°C (91.4°F) in Tiveria; 24°C (75.2°F) - 36°C (96.8°F) in the Dead Sea area; 14°C (57.2°F) - 32°C (89.6°F) in Be'er Sheva; 16°C (60.8°F) - 31°C (87.8°F) in Mitzpe Ramon; and 24°C (75.2°F) - 37°C (98.6F) in Eilat.

Meanwhile, the Israel Police is preparing for heavy traffic on the holiday, with expected rush hours throughout the week to extend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Overnight Friday/Saturday, many traditional and secular Jews are also expected to be driving back from Seder meals at 11:00 pm - 1:00 am.

High traffic is predicted again on Shabbat itself from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and from 7:30 pm to 11 p.m. on the day after the final day of the holiday, which starts the Morroccan holiday of Mimouna.

"The police has deployed reinforcements in and outside of major cities in order to provide public services," Chief Superintendent of the Central District Traffic Division, Rami Raz, stated to Walla! News. He called on the public to "plan travel times to avoid stressful situations and arrivals - stress leads to all sorts of offenses, including speeding, driving on the shoulder, and so on."
