MK Erel Margalit (Zionist Union) on Tuesday launched an attack against “rightist psychopaths” in a video clip he released as part of a campaign to encourage Israelis to register as members of the Labor party’s Central Committee.

The video was released as thousands gathered at the Rabin Square in Tel Aviv in a show of support for Elor Azariya, the IDF soldier facing manslaughter charges for controversially shooting dead a neutralized terrorist, after being under the mistaken impression the terrorist was still armed.

In the clip, entitled “Give us back our country”, Margalit attacks the right and claims that it has raised “psychopaths” among its ranks.

“We messed up because we were silent. Because we were afraid to look like them. Because we were afraid to say that Netanyahu, ‘Mr. Security’, released the most terrorists in Israeli history. That he was the first prime minister to reach a draw with Hamas. That overall [the rightists] are mostly known for returning land without compensation, for whining, inciting, for their hysterics. Give us back our country,” he said in the video.

“Instead of the right filling Rabin Square - the state should go back to Rabin’s way. The Labor party, despite the difficult times – is on its way to waking up – simply because there is no other alternative to Bibi,” he added.
