An official Palestinian Authority (PA) TV host and Muslim preacher taught in his weekly education program about Islam on Saturday that due to Jews, "humanity will never live in comfort" - but in spewing his anti-Semitism he showed a distinct lack of creativity by falling back on old trope.

In his Saturday show on official PA TV, as translated by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) on Monday, the preacher Imad Hamato taught that Jews are "evil" and the source of all bad in the world.

Hamato, a Professor of Koranic Studies at the University of Palestine in Gaza, said, "an old man told me: If a fish in the sea fights with another fish, I am sure the Jews are behind it."

But his venomous anti-Semitism left much to desire in terms of originality: last March, Hamato made the same exact racist statement, saying on official PA TV that even when fish fight in the sea, "the Jews are behind it."

Hamato began on Saturday by saying Israel "is a state of ‎blood, a terror state. ...Humanity will never live in comfort ‎as long as the Jews are causing devastating corruption throughout the land. Humanity ‎will never live in peace or fortune or tranquility as long as they are corrupting the land."

"An old man told me: If a fish in the sea fights with another fish, I am sure the Jews are ‎behind it. As Allah says: ‘Every time they kindled the fire of war (against you), Allah ‎extinguished it. They strive throughout the land (causing) corruption, and Allah does ‎not like those who corrupters,'" he concluded, quoting Sura 5:64 from the Koran.
