Attorney Nati Rom, founder of the Lev Haolam organization, spoke to Arutz Sheva on Thursday about the American labeling of Israeli goods from Judea and Samaria as not being from "Israel."

Various groups have argued that the US Customs' January 23 "reissuing" of orders to importers is in fact a deceptive policy change, as the original 1995 guidelines only called to label Palestinian Authority (PA) goods as not Israeli, whereas the new order calls to label the goods of Israeli Jews in the region as not being Israeli as well.

Rom called on the Israeli government to "stand and say 'enough is enough.'"

The US is one of the best friends of Israel and needs to behave as such instead of "stabbing (Israel) in the back," he said, calling on the US to "stop the labeling and stop boycotting products from Judea and Samaria" and instead "help the pioneers in Israel."

The attorney noted the region is the "heart" of Israel "where more than 90% of the Biblical stories happened," and emphasized that "friends don't try to boycott."

Rom's Lev Haolam project sells products from Judea and Samaria to counter the boycott efforts.

He recalled recently bringing chocolates from Hevron to central Amsterdam, where he let passersby taste the chocolate before telling them their government is boycotting it. Rom said many responded by saying they oppose boycotting.

Lev Haolam enables Israel supporters to buy Israeli products directly from the producer and bypass the boycotts. Hundreds of packages go out every month to the group's customers around the world. Those interested can learn more here.
