The summer-like heat wave that Israel has been enjoying this past week is set to pass over the weekend. While the warm weather will continue on Thursday and most of Friday, towards Friday evening temperatures are supposed to cool while fog and haze set in over the coastal areas.

On Saturday a dramatic decrease in temperature is expected and will be accompanied by cloudy skies and a chance of a light rain on Saturday morning.

For the early part of next week, low winter-like temperatures are expected to remain throughout the northern and central regions of the country while scattered showers will occur throughout those areas. The rain will build into thunderstorms over the course of Sunday evening and cause downpours in certain areas on Sunday night.
