Three Jews were detained for 40 minutes on Sunday morning for the "crime" of allegedly praying on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.

After being released without interrogation, officers told the suspects that if they ever intend to visit the Temple Mount in the future they must first undergo a hearing and sign a liability form.

Attorney Menashe Yado of the Honenu legal aid organization argued that two of the suspects never even prayed, while the third merely moved his lips in a silent prayer, so there is no reason to forbid their entry to the Temple Mount.

Additionally, Yado claimed that the police carried out illegal body searches and demanded to keep the footage that proves the police falsely apprehended the three Jewish suspects.
