An Arab terrorist stabbed Wednesday two people near Beit Hadassah in Hevron: An IDF soldier was moderately wounded, and Yitzhak Strook, son of former MK Orit Strook, was lightly injured. The terrorist was killed.

Upon initial investigation, police revealed that the terrorist was requested to present identification from soldiers who were stationed at “Hadas 9." Instead, he pulled out a knife, stabbed a soldier in the head and hit another civilian.

A nearby security officer witnessed the event and shot and killed the terrorist.

The terrorist was identified as Abd Al-Rahman Maswadeh, 21, from Hevron. His cousin, Ihab Masrawa, carried out a stabbing attack near the Cave of the Patriarchs on Monday.

The former MK said she had spoken with her son after the incident. "Yitzhak told the terrorist stabbed the soldier and he pounced on him with his bare hands. Lucky there were other people".

Strook offered praise to God for the miracle, stressing that "under these circumstances we can only thank God."

"I keep saying we need to shut down the stairs where the attack took place lest there will be another attack. [My son] said there was a soldier there. Why is it that the lives of Arabs are always more important than our lives? Enough, Hevron residents deserve to live safely and there are ways to fix it. Let the Arabs walk around the other way for ten minutes."
