The father and son

A young French boy around the age of five was interviewed on local TV at one scene of the Islamic State (ISIS) attacks Saturday that left at least 129 murdered - and while coping with his fears over the horrors, he was reassured by his father with a unique, and pacifist, explanation.

The boy was interviewed by Le Petit Journal at the scene of the Bataclan theater attack, the most deadly of six coordinated attacks.

But after expressing his fears that the family will now have to move, his father steps in, saying they are French and will remain because the dangers exist elsewhere as well.

The father then poses a unique "weapon" to counter the guns wielded by the "bad men" - flowers. After teaching his son that flowers can "protect," the boy tells the reporter that he feels comforted.
