Localized rainfall overnight Monday/Tuesday will continue Tuesday and Wednesday from the north to the Negev, weather forecasters report, with periodic thunderstorms predicted throughout the day. 

A flood warning has been issued for low-lying areas, particularly coastal cities. Drivers are encouraged to drive carefully and to steer clear of flooded roadways. 

Temperatures are expected to fall slightly below seasonal averages by Tuesday night, as rainfall tapers off. 

Forecasters predict Tuesday's highs and lows to range from 16°C (60.8°F) to 12°C (53.6°F) in Jerusalem; from 18°C (64.4°F) to 15°C (59°F) in Ariel; from 15°C (59°F) to 11°C (51.8°F) in Tzfat (Safed); from 20°C (68°F) to 16°C (60.8°F)  in Tel Aviv and Ashdod; from 19°C (66.2°F) to 15°C (59°F) in Haifa; from 22°C (71.6°F) to 17°C (62.6°F) in Tiveria; from 18°C (64.4°F) to 12°C (53.6°F) in Katzrin; from 26°C (78.8°F) to 20°C (68°F) in the Dead Sea area; from 20°C (68°F) to 14°C (57.2°F) in Be'er Sheva; and from 27°C (80.6°F) to 19°C (66.2°F) in Eilat. 

Winter weather began to return Monday night, after locals reported a brief hailstorm in Ashdod.
