Yesterday afternoon, more than 48 hours after the murderous shooting spree that left six Israelis dead near Kibbutz Metzubah in the Galilee, signs of the terrorists\' entry were finally discovered. IDF forces found the fence that the terrorists used to scale the border fence near Kibbutz Hanita. Until then, it was not even certain that the terrorists had come from Lebanon. Defense Minister Ben-Eliezer said today that it\'s clear that Hizbullah is attempting to escalate the violence and open a new war-front against Israel.

After infiltrating into Israel, the two IDF-uniform clad terrorists crossed a sparsely-traveled highway and strolled a few kilometers southwards to a busier route, set themselves up in a banana grove overlooking the highway, and began shooting. A bus driver carrying many children was able to stop just in time, turn around, and warn other oncoming school buses not to approach the site. One theory is that the terrorists timed their attack to coincide with the buses\' arrival. The IDF Northern Command is seeking ways to prevent such infiltrations, while the Yesha Council says that the incident proves that a unilateral withdrawal and hiding behind \"smart\" fences is not an effective response to terrorism.
