Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) met on Tuesday afternoon with the Regional Council heads of regions across Judea and Samaria at the protest tent in front of the Prime Minister's Residence.

During the meeting in Jerusalem, the council heads demanded greater security and the resumption of construction in Judea and Samaria.

After listening, Hotovely remarked: "This tent was born out of deep shock in the face of murderous terrorist attacks."

"It is the obligation of the government, especially the incumbent government, to do everything we can to ensure the security of residents while at the same time amplifying construction in Judea and Samaria."

Council heads of regions across Judea and Samaria have been protesting outside the Prime Minister's Residence for several days in response to the loss of security for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

The protest, which was started last Friday after the funeral of a young couple who were murdered by terrorists in front of their children, calls on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to take harsher steps to keep Israelis safe from terror.

That call was strengthened after the murder of two Israelis in a stabbing in the Old City on Saturday night.

On Tuesday evening, the regional heads are expected to meet with Netanyahu to issue their complaints and demands.
