A court in the Indian city of Mumbai has sentenced five men to death for a series of bomb attacks against commuter trains in 2006, which left 189 people dead and more than 800 wounded.
A further seven men were given life sentences Wednesday.
The coordinated attacks took place with 15 minutes of each other during rush-hour on July 11, 2006, and were revealed to be the work of Islamist terrorists, who have repeatedly targeted India in the past.
India blamed Pakistani intelligence services for helping plan the attacks - allegations Pakistan denies.
Defense lawyers have insisted their clients are innocent of all charges, but after eight years the trial finally ended with a guilty verdict last month.
