Freshman MK Oren Hazan (Likud) on Tuesday night spoke to Arutz Sheva about the Arab rioting during Sukkot on the Temple Mount - the holiest site in Judaism - and the role of radical Arab MKs in inciting that violence.

In particular Hazan addressed Arab Joint List MK Jamal Zahalka's provocations on the Mount, where he was caught on film Tuesday personally harassing Israeli police over allowing Jewish visitors to visit Judaism's holiest site, calling them "criminals" and "lunatics."

"The time has come for the state to put an end to the terrorist Zahalka and his friends," stated Hazan. "We cannot be surprised that rocks and firebombs are flying every day from within mosques, when these are the leaders of the Arab public."

"I wonder what would happen if Zahalka would have received a rock on his head from the rocks that are thrown from the mosques? Would he speak in the same tone he spoke in yesterday?," pondered the MK.

"The time has come to ban him and his friends from going up to the Temple Mount and entering the holy sites, and while we're at it to kick them out of the borders of Israel."

Hazan made the comments at the sukkah of Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) in Kfar Ahim, in an annual event which was attended this year by thousands of Likud activists.

At the same event Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein also spoke to Arutz Sheva, and said, "if MKs want to ascend to the Temple Mount because it is a holy place - for Jews, Muslims and Christians - there is no problem with this. But someone who comes to incite should look for another place, it's too volatile there."

Hazan's call to ban Zahalka from the Temple Mount echoes the comments of Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home), who earlier on Tuesday said, "I demand that the Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Security immediately ban Arab MKs from ascending to the Mount, along with the permanent expulsion of any activist trying to create provocations."
