The Jerusalem District Attorney filed indictments against five Arab teenagers in the Juvenile District Court on Tuesday, all of whom were arrested for throwing rocks at an Israeli civilian.  

Two weeks ago, a Jew wearing a kippah (yarmulke - ed.) entered a store in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz. 

The boys saw him; when he left, they followed him to his car in the parking lot and threw rocks at him. One teen approached the vehicle and began pounding his fists on the windshield to scare him. 

The other teens began pelting the vehicle with rocks. The driver, disoriented, drove into a dead-end alley by mistake in trying to escape; he then fled the scene on foot. The car was totaled as a result of the attack. 

According to the indictment: on Wednesday two weeks ago, in the evening a Jewish man entered the store in neighborhood of Wadi al-Joz. wearing a kippah. The boys saw him, and when he left to get his car from the parking lot threw stones at him. One of the youths approached the vehicle and pounded his fists on purpose to scare him.

Other youths also threw stones at the vehicle. The driver who was alarmed by the attack, turned into a nearby alley and noticing that it was a blind alley, got out of his car and fled the scene on foot.

The prosecution has asked that four of the boys, ages 15-16, be detained by police until the trial begins. The fifth teen is aged 13.
