A 19-year-old from Beitar Ilit drowned in a reservoir near the community of Ahiye, in the Binyamin region.

The young man's friends pulled him from the water after he lost consciousness and called emergency responders to the location. MDA paramedics managed to restore his pulse and evacuated him by helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save the man and he died in the hospital.

Inbal Weberman, a paramedic who treated the victim, said that "a young man about 19 years of age was lying near the entrance to a deep well. He was unconscious, not breathing, and had no pulse. His friends told us that he was drowning and they pulled him out of the water. They used basic resuscitation on him until we arrived. We continued with advanced resuscitation, including medicine, mouth-to-mouth, massage, and electric shocks."
