Everyone knows that Rosh Hashanah is the national day of judgment and many know that there is very little mention of sin anywhere throughout the prayer book, and that we don’t even own up to our sins until Yom Kippur.

There is reason for that. On Rosh Hashanah we deal with the root of all evil, and it isn’t the evil inclination.

It has more to do with the fact that we have become desensitized to the awesomeness of Creation and the opportunity of life and just fixing itself is a major part of the repentance process.
