A six-year-old Israeli boy drowned in a hotel swimming pool in the Turkish resort town of Kamar, where his family had been vacationing. The boy has been identified as Eitan Tityevsky.

Eitan was is the pool with his ten-year-old brother when hotel guests who were in the pool noticed that something was wrong. When they pulled him out, he was in serious condition. They called the hotel and tried to resuscitate him but he died within a short time.

The boy's body was taken for an autopsy and a rabbi was flown to the hotel to pray with the boy's family.

The Foreign Ministry is in touch with the insurance company that insures the family, and is making arrangements to release the boy's body from the hospital and to fly it to Israel, apparently within the next 24 hours.
