Guy Dayan, midfield for the Hapoel Afula soccer team, took to Facebook on Wednesday to strongly condemn the recent decision by the management of the national soccer league to move major games to Shabbat, leading to a desecration of the Sabbath.

Dayan, who is known for being religiously traditional, wrote, "the state of Israel is the state of the Jews, but only in this state everything is allowed: 'homos and lesbians are okay, that's their choice.'"

Commenting on the Islamic Jihad terrorist Mohammed Allan who is being released after hunger striking, he said, "a terrorist who after all just murdered a few innocent Jews hunger strikes and the entire state gets anxious for him."

"The whole government wants to fly an 'airplane' spoonful of food into his mouth so that G-d forbid he doesn't die."

"But to be a religious Jew and observe the Shabbat - oy, that's going crazy, that's forbidden," Dayan wrote. "Anything but that."

"So I say 'G-d is One and His name is One forever,' and only He can decide what will be and when, and none of the puppets on TV. Don't play soccer on Shabbat!"

On Tuesday the soccer players' organization decided to raise its efforts to fight the decision so as to return central games in the national league back to Friday, and turned to the national labor court in a request to stop soccer games on Shabbat.

The organization likewise called for the cancellation of the upcoming major game between Ironi Ashdod and Hapoel Bnei Lod.
