Just two days before the holiday of Shavuot, in which it is traditional to stay up all night and study Torah, the national-religious community in the city of Elad on Thursday held a special day of Torah study.

The special day was dedicated to the memories of Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Sha’ar and Naftali Frenkel, the three yeshiva students who were kidnapped and murdered by terrorists a year ago.

Speaking to Arutz Sheva, Eyal’s father Ori Yifrah said, “Today, the 3rd day of the month of Sivan, is exactly 11 months since we buried Eyal, Gilad and Naftali. Our community every year holds a day of learning Torah as preparation for Shavuot. This year, following the difficult year that we experienced here in Elad, we are dedicating this day in memory of the three who spiritually uplifted us.”

“No doubt the three of them prepare us the best way for the receiving of the Torah,” Yifrah added.
