Police arrested today a 26-year-old old man suspected of murdering a security guard at a wedding hall in the city of Nes Ziona, next to Rehovot in central Israel.

The 68-year-old guard was securing ongoing construction work at the wedding hall, which is located near to the city's soccer stadium.

His killed stabbed him in the neck and fled, leaving him for dead.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics who arrived at the scene after being alerted rushed the victim to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot in serious condition, but his condition deteriorated further en-route and he succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect was tracked down and arrested near the village of Na'alin, close to Ramallah.

Police have still not identified a motive for the attack, and the investigation and interrogation of the suspect is ongoing.
