Dozens of young people from all sectors of Israel society participated in a tour of Israel's capital on Saturday night in honor of Jerusalem Day.

Led by freshman MK Oren Hazan, the haredi, national religious and secular young people journeyed from Mishkenot Sha'ananim to Gai Ben Himmon and David's Tomb. The tour ended at the Western Wall.

For Hazan, the purpose of the tour was to "strengthen our sovereignty over Jerusalem."

The participants, most of whom came from Tel Aviv, stopped before the start of the tour at the intersection where Shalom Sherki, 25, was murdered.

Sherki was the victim of Palestinian driver Khaled Kutina, who deliberately rammed his car into a bus stop in the French Hill neighborhood on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day last month.

Sherki's date, Shira Klein, 20, was seriously injured in the attack, as well.

"We must do everything possible to stop attacks like these," Hazan stressed. We must remember that each of us is a trailblazer here in the Land of Israel. There is no need to be afraid to live in this country and walk every one of its corners and hills.

"Our strength is in our unity and in our faith," Hazan asserted. "We need to continue building in Jerusalem. I say this and the Prime Minister says this."
