As Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu works to clinch his fourth government before a swearing in ceremony scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, frustration and anger among Likud members mounts.

On Thursday afternoon, an aide to Deputy Minister Tzipi Hotovely expressed vexation at Netanyahu's presumed intentions not to appoint Hotovely a minister in his next government.

Hotovely associates related dozens of phone calls from Likud's national-religious public, claiming "what Bibi did to [Jewish Home chairman] Naftali Bennett, he's doing now to Tzipi."

"We laid down for Netanyahu and this is the thanks we get from him," national-religious constituents said angrily.

The politician's associates have stressed in response that Hotovely has no intention of giving up her right to be appointed a minister in the next government.

"There will be no spitting in the face this time," they asserted.

"Tzipi was Netanyahu's flak jacket during the elections and now the Prime Minister ignores her. You think Hotovely is so nice that you can skip over her. But gone are the days you could ignore Hotovely."

Another disgruntled Likudnik, Interior Minister Gilad Erdan threatened to abandon the new government late Wednesday should he not receive both the interior and public security portfolios.
