When Counting Really Counts

As is often the case when it comes to Torah, the least obvious answer is the best one.

Not always, but a lot of the time, because Torah wants us to work for our knowledge since doing so is part of the process of personal rectification.

The counting of the Omer seems like a non-event even to those who count it because it happens so fast and with so little fanfare. Yet, that is often the sign that something special is going on and worth a deeper look.
