The funeral of Rabbi Chaim Grenimann was held in Bnei Brak on Sunday, with great multitudes coming out to pay their last respects to the Torah scholar.

Arutz Sheva was on the scene to hear from participants about the rabbi and his impressive achievements.

"G-d took another one of our righteous, (it's) as if we have another hole in our spiritual umbrella," one man said at the funeral, which was in fact lined with umbrellas against the late April rains.

Another described him as "a person of truth; he didn't find any interest in issues of honor or what people would say about him. He spent his time and energy for his family."

"His house was open...(to) whoever needed advice, whether in personal, medical or educational issues," another said.

"We lost a leader, we lost someone who, while he was really great, he also cared for the public each and every day."
