How do you prepare for the holiday of Pesach (Passover), which requires the removal of all chametz (leavened foods), on a national scale? Arutz Sheva spoke with Elchanan Glatt, Director of the Religious Affairs Ministry, to find out.

Glatt was overseeing Pesach preparations at the Dan Accadia Herzliya Hotel together with representatives of the Chief Rabbinate.

He remarked that the effort has been intense in the past three to four weeks, involving hundreds of workers preparing more than 600 hotels nationwide for the thousands of guests anticipated over the holiday.

"All the public areas in medinat Yisrael (the state of Israel - ed.) will be kosher (for Pesach - ed.), and that is an impressive, unbelievable operation," he said.

Glatt noted that his ministry works with the Chief Rabbinate to ensure all guests are able to celebrate the holiday of national freedom under strict kosher standards.
