The Knesset is preparing for a changing of the guard Sunday, just two days before the 2015 elections for the 20th Knesset.

Knesset CEO Ronen Plot instructed the members of the Knesset management - heads of the divisions and departments - on how to best prepare itself to absorb new MKs and for the resignation of the outgoing Knesset members Sunday.

As part of the preparations for the arrival of the 20th Knesset members, Plot has instructed the operations group to provide members of the Knesset, from day one, a temporary office to work from as the Knesset transitions.

Waiting for new MKs are computer equipment and standard office equipment; the various departments will also be given a brand-new contact page with details for every MK sitting in the 20th Knesset, as well as the various aides and other incoming office staff.

In addition, each MK is entitled to a Knesset car from day one of their public service.

On Sunday, March 29, 2015, there will be a special conference of the new Knesset members, led by Secretary of the Knesset Yardena Meller-Hurwitz, as an "orientation" into public life.

New MKs will receive detailed explanations and lectures on the rights, duties and parliamentary and administrative services as Knesset members and receive a booklet with explanations on the legislative process, how to file a bill, motions and more.

Plot will also meet with new MKs to get to know them and explain to each how to utilize the various administrative services to maximize their potential in public office.

At the same time, the Knesset Comptroller has issued a letter to Knesset members who are completing their tenure with the 19th Knesset, with explanations of the actions required for them to finish the term of office, termination of employment of parliamentary advisers and details of the return of furniture and equipment, vehicles and mobile phones.

The Technology Division has informed the MKs as well, through a letter, that towards the end of their term of the 19th Knesset and during the early days of the 20th Knesset, all computers will be reformatted and undergo new installations.

"To be an MK is to be a public servant," Plot stated Sunday. "The Knesset administration and offices are working to help absorb new MKs and are doing everything we can to ensure a speedy transition without difficulties taking place."
