The weather this year looks to favor Purim revelers on Thursday, as clear skies without a drop of rain and moderate temperatures are expected.

For Shushan Purim on Friday, when it is celebrated in Jerusalem and according to some in other walled cities, a noted rise in temperatures is predicted, with the day to be hot and dry beyond seasonal averages.

In the north and through the Jerusalem mountain range strong eastern winds are anticipated.

On Saturday after the holiday ends, the weather will continue to be hot and dry, with the coastal plain and shfelah foothill region expected to see something of a heat wave. The eastern winds in the north and through the mountains is to continue.

Then next Sunday the heat wave will end and partial clouding will take its place, with a drop in temperatures primarily in the coastal region and foothills.
