Interior Minister Gilad Erdan took part in a Likud conference on Tuesday evening in which he attacked the unity pact between Labor leader Yitzhak Herzog and Hatnua leader Tzipi Livni.

In his remarks, Erdan said that the pact between the two was “despicable” because it focuses only on removing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu from power.

"We saw the unity between Herzog and Tzipi Livni, which has one despicable principle, the slogan ‘Anyone but Bibi,’” said Erdan, who added, “This pair and the left will have hollow arguments - that we, the people of Israel, are to blame for the fact that there is no peace, that if we concede more then we will achieve peace, but we will not give in. Any land we gave up was taken over by terrorist organizations. The Palestinians are not idiots as Tzipi Livni herself says.”

Erdan’s criticism did not stop there, as he also had criticism for former Finance Minister Yair Lapid, who Netanyahu fired from his post several weeks ago.

“Yair Lapid, you asked where is the money and we gave you the money. The question will be answered by the voters at the polls. But we can see the differences from the time period that [Yuval] Steinitz ran the economy. Unemployment was low and the economy grew,” he said.

Finally, Erdan also had some remarks for Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and former minister Moshe Kahlon, who is running as the head of the new Kulanu party. Liberman and Kahlon, said Erdan, are being too vague and not declaring their clear support for one candidate for Prime Minister.

"Where is the transparency? The public deserves to know who you will recommend to the president for prime minister," said Erdan.
