Magen David Adom emergency services announced that it is scaling back its activities in Judea and Samaria and northern Israel because of budgetary difficulties – despite the fact that Israel is in the midst of a wave of Arab terror.

Avi Naim, head of the Beit Aryeh council and Chairman of the Security Committee in the Center for Local Government, attacked the ministries of Health and Finance for delaying the transfer of funds to MDA Sunday, and warned of the danger in cancelling ambulance budgets.

"The intent to close MDA stations in Judea Samaria, now of all times, against a backdrop of this volatile security situation, is incompetence by the decisionmakers in the country,” he said. “I call on the minister of health and minister of finance to find an immediate budgetary solution before we pay a price in blood.”

MDA explained that “in order to minimize the deficit damage to MDA as much as possible, and since there is not much time to the end of the year, the MDA Director has had to stop or cut down the activity until the end of the year. MDA will continue to serve residents from existing MDA stations.”
