Boy, 12, Seriously Hurt in Fall from Bridge

The boy fell from a 7-meter high bridge in Haifa as he was cycling on Yom Kippur.

A 12-year-old boy fell from a 7-meter high bridge in Haifa as he was cycling on Yom Kippur. He was seriously wounded.

A Carmel Area Magen David Adom team evacuated the boy to Rambam Hospital. After his situation stabilized, he was taken to the operating room. He was then taken to Children's ICU, where he is anesthesized and artificially respirated.

Haifa Police traffic inspectors have begun investigating the cause of the accident.

In another accident in Haifa, a girl aged about 14 fell off her bicycle in Hatzionut Street and was injured. She was taken to Rambam and intitially classified as suffering from moderate injuries.

She has fractures in her face and is hospitalized in the Children's Surgical Ward.
