A father who apparently forgot his two year old on a Jerusalem bus has been tracked down, with family members and authorities breathing a sigh of relief.

It's not known where exactly the baby was forgotten (ie, where its father got off the bus, turning the baby from a “passenger” to a “forgotten passenger”), but the other passengers on the bus apparently did not notice that something was amiss either, as the driver discovered the baby only after arriving at the last stop.

As is customary, the driver gave the bus a once-over to see if anyone had forgotten anything – and found the mobile crib containing the baby.

Luckily, the crib had some identification information, and bus company officials were able to track down the by now frantic father. Father and child are now reunited, but police said they would investigate just how a baby could be forgotten, and apparently ignored, on a public bus.
