Hollywood star couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, affectionately known as "Brangelina," who finally tied the knot in France last month, have been learning an Israeli martial art for their new film By The Sea.

According to a source quoted in the British Mirror, Pitt and Jolie have been taking Krav Maga self-defense classes with their six children, who are learning a modified children's form of Krav Maga.

The Hollywood couple have reportedly fallen in love with the Israeli martial art, practicing several days a week. Reportedly Pitt has been so committed to his Krav Maga training that he has lost ten pounds in a mere three weeks.

"Angelina previously learnt Krav Maga when she was doing Tomb Raider and absolutely loved it," the Mirror source revealed. "The whole family are learning the moves. Even the little ones are doing modified kids’ moves but Brad has been doing it for 45 minutes a day and has dramatically lost weight and beefed up his muscles for the film."

The new movie, By The Sea, was written and directed by Jolie, and will be the first time the couple appears together in film since the 2005 movie Mr & Mrs Smith. The new film is also to feature cameo roles for the couple's oldest two children, Maddox and Pax.

While there has been some anti-Israel sentiment expressed by several Hollywood celebs during Operation Protective Edge, "Brangelina" have expressed a generally positive stance on the Jewish state, as evidenced in Pitt's star role in the 2013 zombie-flick World War Z.

In the film, Israel is depicted as one of the few countries not immediately overwhelmed by zombies thanks to a large security barrier around Israel, which anti-Israel critics complained showed a pro-Israel message in the film.
