The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's "military wing," presented a newly developed sniper rifle produced in Gaza itself on Sunday, named "Ghoul" - lit. monster - and named after terrorist Adnan al-Ghoul.

The sniper rifle has a 14.5 mm-diameter barrel and can measure up to two meters long, according to footage which has surfaced documenting the development, and has a telescopic sight.

The rifle's creators claim that the Ghoul cover a range of up to two kilometers, although it is unclear whether this is accurate or another case of terrorist bravado.

Footage on the Ghoul indicated that the rifle has already been used in battle - including Friday's clashes at Rafah, during which Hamas terrorists murdered three IDF soldiers.

Until now, Hamas has been primarily reliant on imports for its weaponry, including from Syria, Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood branch, Iran, and Hezbollah.
