Two more IDF soldiers have been killed in Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit cleared for publication on Monday night.

According to the statement, the two soldiers were killed during the afternoon hours on Monday.

One of the soldiers has been identified as Sergeant Oded Ben Sira, 22, from Nir Etzion. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at the military section of the Nir Etzion cemetery.

The name of the second soldier has not yet been cleared for publication.

The latest deaths bring the total number of officers and soldiers who have been killed in Operation Protective Edge so far to 27.

Earlier, it was cleared for publication that seven additional soldiers and officers have been killed in Gaza.

Five additional IDF soldiers were killed between Thursday and Saturday, including, hy"d: Cadet Bar Rahav, 21, of Ramat Yishai; Sergeant Benaya Ruval, 20, of Holon; Col.Amotz Greenberg, 45, of Hod Hasharon; Sgt. Adar Bersano, 20, of Nahariya; and Sgt. Eitan Barak, 20, from Herzliya.
