A unique conference is being held on Wednesday at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), in cooperation with the non-profit organization Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED), to promote higher education.
The conference, entitled TEDxHit Interaction, features dozens of lecturers speaking on a variety of topics in an effort to provide access to higher education for a wider audience.
"HIT deals with many social projects, which allows accessibility to higher education for a range of students that arrive from a variety of social-financial backgrounds," remarked Prof. Eduard Yakubov, HIT President.
HIT focuses on design and a variety of aspects relating to advanced technology, including scientific, professional, social and cultural facets.
"We established an extraordinary support center institute, with the goal of aiding students with disabilities," added Yakubov. "We developed academic courses with directed services and information stores dealing in research based on communities."
TED is a non-profit organization that arranges conferences and other learning opportunities, with the goal of spreading "ideas worth spreading." Its branch TEDx holds independently organized events around the world.
