Ten IDF soldiers were injured on Tuesday in an accident at a Navy base in Haifa, Walla! news reports. One of the ten is in serious condition.

According to an initial investigation, a beam fell from the roof of a building that was under repair, causing the temporary roof to fall on the soldiers.

Nine of the soldiers escaped with light injuries, but one was hit in the head and suffered a serious head injury. He was taken to Rambam Hospital.

Four others were taken to hospital for testing to be sure their injuries are not serious.

Earlier this year 15 soldiers were hurt when a fire broke out on a patrol boat that was operating off the Gaza coast. The fire had been caused by a technical malfunction.
