The first thing we need to do is see it for what it is, and treat it just as any other racist statement against Blacks, Latinos or other groups." He added that Judeo-phobic literature in Arabic has proliferated, such as the statement that Jews are the "descendants of monkeys and pigs."
Also scheduled to speak is be Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon (Likud), and Israeli actress Mili Avital.
Yaakov HaGoel, Head of the World Zionist Organization's Department for Activities in Israel & Countering Antisemitism, stated at the conference, "Anti-Semitism is a disease and needs to be uprooted." HaGoel has been arranging conferences in the United States and France, assisting in pro-Israel rallies in Sweden and helping Jewish communities around the world. Eitan Ori Behar, director of the WZO's Jerusalem-based Center for Diaspora Communications & Countering Antisemitism, added, "we have been contacting countless people in different countries through the iZionist.org.il website and call upon all like-minded activists to contact us to together we can best deal with raising awareness and strengthening our resolve."
