An Israeli 'Sky Rider' mini-drone crashed during Gaza operations last week.

The IDF reported that the crash was due to technical problems with the aircraft, and that the incident has already undergone an internal investigation.

However, Palestinian Authority Maan news agency media claims that terrorists in the Gaza refugee camp of Jabaliya took control of the drone during IAF airstrikes against terrorist arms tunnels. That operation killed 4 Hamas terrorists, after terrorists wounded five IDF soldiers.

Last month, an unmanned IDF aircraft from the Paratroopers unit crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, across from the Palmachim Beach.

The Sky Rider is an unarmed, unmanned reconnaissance drone used to collect intelligence. It was only recently introduced into active service and has been used extensively in counterterrorism operations.
