Egyptians do not know too much about the Holocaust, if the video below is any indication.

The clip, which was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), is taken from an Egyptian television show titled "Anybody Knows?!". In the show, a child journalist goes to the street and asks passersby if and what they know about the Holocaust.

While some of those questioned knew that the Holocaust took place during World War II and involved Jews being gassed by the Nazis, quite a few of those asked had no idea what the term “Holocaust” was.

Several acknowledged that the Holocaust occurred but said there was controversy over the exact number of Jews who were killed.

“There are disputes regarding the figures. Some say three million Jews were killed, and others say it was one million. Some question whether it occurred,” said one man.
