A string of shootings in the Arab town of Deburiya, east of Nazareth, has left five people dead, including two children. A sixth victim is in critical condition.

While the victims were found at three different scenes, police now believe they are all members of one family. Police believe the shootings were a murder-suicide by the father of the family.

The first victims found were two teenage girls, who were both in serious condition with gunshot wounds. The two girls were airlifted to Rambam hospital in Haifa, where one of them died of her injuries. The second girl, 15, is in critical condition.

A man in his 50s was then found in the Zeitoun neighborhood. The man had been shot in his upper body and was seriously injured; he was evacuated to Haemek hospital in Afula. He later died of his injuries. He is now believed to have been the shooter.

A second man, who works at a local nursing home, was found suffering critical injuries. He later died of his injuries.

The last victims discovered were a woman around 37 years of age and her young daughter. The woman had been killed by a gunshot wound, and the child was suffering critical injuries. Paramedics were unable to save her.
