Late Friday afternoon, August 9th, a Palestinian Authority police car was seen outside of PA-controlled territory (Area A), on road 60 between Gush Etzion communities and Kiryat Arba and Hevron.
The PLO does not have access to leave Area A unaccompanied by Israeli Defense Forces. To do so would breach an agreement made between the PA and Israel authority.
The patrol car was not stopped by any IDF guards which normally pass by the road frequently securing the area.
Nadia Matar, a resident of Efrat and member of the Women in Green, reported the suspicious vehicle and released the following statement:
"Lately we see a phenomena going on for weeks, PA police cars freely driving on our road even though they are not allowed to do so. It's unheard of. Friends, we cannot allow ourselves to just get used to it. We cannot just say 'so what?' What we have to do is be outraged by every infringement of the law by them."
