The two soldiers are Hai Ben-Naim, 19, of Rishon LeZion, and Kfir Dahari, 22, of Yavne. The names of two other victims have yet to be released. Three other IDF soldiers were among the 26 people injured in the accident.

The accident took place at around 1:00 p.m. when a bus that was travelling from Rishon LeZion to Be’er Sheva hit a garbage truck that had stopped on the side of the road.

Police are continuing to investigate what caused the accident and it remains unclear which of the two drivers, both of whom were lightly injured, caused the accident. The two were detained for questioning.
