Yeshiva School Children Injured in NY Crash
Thirty people, including children, suffered minor injuries Tuesday when their bus driver apparently lost control of his vehicle and crashed into two cars and then hit an electric pole on a sidewalk.
A television video showed a crashed SUV and a minivan at the scene, according to NBC.
All of the children and were treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization after the early morning accident.
Teachers and staff also were on the bus, which was taking the children to Yeshiva of Central Queens, whose Principal Rabbi Mark Landsman contradicted initial reports and said only one pupil was injured, suffering a small cut. Other reports said the bus driver also was lightly injured.
Police blocked off the accident scene to allow rescue vehicles to arrive, and an investigation is underway.
