MK Danny Danon (Likud) visited Ofra Tuesday and warned that demolition of the Givat HaUlpana homes could invite further demolitions, in places including Ofra.

"Here, too, there are houses with a status similar to that of the homes at Givat HaUlpana," he said. "If we fail in this struggle it will only be the beginning."

The hardline MK said that the partnership between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak could lead to another Disengagement. "The Defense Minister speaks of a unilateral disengagement in Judea and Samaria (Yehuda and Shomron), and we must not give up. Adding Kadima to the government only made things worse. If we fail now we might see many more future court motions against the settlement enterprise."

Danon did not spare the rod from ministers who said they would support the Regulation Law but gave in to Netanyahu's pressure. "I'm ashamed of them," he said. "They toured Givat HaUlpana with us. They apparently trust the short memory of Likud members, but they are wrong. We will remember."
