MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) on Tuesday called on Israel's government to amend the "criminal folly of destroying communities" and rendering northern Samaria "free of Jews."

Addressing thousands at a rally in the now-destroyed community of Homesh in northern Samaria, Eldad called for an amendement to Israel's laws so as to ensure the continued presence of Jews in the area.

He also called for the creation of a "Homesh First" lobbyin the Knesset, which would function as an extension of the extant Land of Israel Lobby.

MK Danny Danon (Likud), who headed a delegation of hundreds of World Likud activists at the event, said: "I call on Prime Minister to settle anew the community of Homesh and to clarify to agitators on the extreme left, including Peace Now and Defense Minister Barak, what is the way of Likud. "

According to Danon, "Barak has lost control, he thinks that the settlement of Judea and Samaria is something you can reverse whenever you want. We will not allow the defense minister to advance the political agenda of his party at the expense of the residents in Judea and Samaria."

Danon added, "those who believe are not afraid. We believe and we are not afraid of President Obama, nor the EU, nor Defense Minister Barak and his legal advisors."

"We believe in Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria," Danon explained. "We believe in the renewed community of Homesh, and together we will prevail against the leftist agitators who are trying to undermine the settlement enterprise."
