A 21-year-old soldier collapsed and died early on Sunday morning. He had celebrated his birthday on Saturday night.
MDA paramedics tried to resuscitate the young man, but were unsuccessful. Doctors at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba were forced to pronounce him dead.
The cause of death is not clear.
The soldier lived in the city of Raanana. His identity has not yet been made public.
Last week an IDF soldier was found dead in an armored vehicle near Gaza. It is believed that he died as a result of inhaling noxious gas fumes.
