The Knesset Guard and the Israel Police have decided to give MK Zehava Galon of the leftist Meretz party a bodyguard escort because of what was termed "intelligence information" regarding the intent of nationalist activists to hurt her.
Arutz Sheva has learned from a security source that the threats in the so-called "intelligence information" are in fact reader talkbacks on Arutz Sheva's website.
It is not clear what the talkbacks' content is and Arutz Sheva's management has yet to receive any request from police to delete these talkbacks or take any other action. Arutz Sheva's management responded that MK Galon is of no interest to its readers and what she says is not relevant to their lives, so that the entire story seems like a spin started to attract attention. Arutz Sheva deletes offensive talkbacks when there are any.
Galon has complained against Arutz Sheva in the past and worked successfully to close down its radio broadcasts 8 years ago, despite the fact that she likes to be known as the defender of free speech and civil rights.
